Hair
Straighteners
For years women were paying to have curls put in their hair.
Perms were all the rave. Nowadays however everyone seems to want to
straighten their hair. Chemical straighteners were quite popular to
help people to temporarily get rid of their natural curls and
waves. Today hair straighteners have
taken their place. Hair straighteners, made by many different
manufacturers are designed with two flat plates which heat to high
temperatures. Putting a section or hair between the two flat plates
of the hair straightener will result in smooth, whip-straight hair.
Most hair straighteners are made with ceramic plates which are
intended to protect the hair from heat damage. Using hair
straighteners seems to be the hair trend for today. It is
especially popular among teenage girls who all seem to have
one.
There are many brand names of hair straighteners such as Chi,
Revelon, Sedu, Conair, just to name a few. Each brand has its own
special features. Some hair straighteners have fixed temperatures
while others are adjustable. They are available in various widths,
some with wide plates meant for longer hair and some have narrow
plates which are great for those short sassy hair-dos. Some hair
straighteners have ceramic plates , some have while cheap brands
have painted aluminum plates. There are many options when
shopping for hair straighteners. Which one you decide to buy
depends on the amount of money you want to spend and what features
you are looking for. It also depends if you are looking for a
professional hair straightener or if you’re satisfied with one you
buy at a department store. Perhaps you are not sure what to choose
from when shopping for hair straighteners. You could certainly get
advice from a hairstylist or a salesperson at a hair boutique. The
Internet also has information on the different hair straighteners
on the market today. It’s a good idea to do your homework before
rushing out and spending a lot of money on a product you know
nothing about.
